Simple, fun and lightweight, these earrings are made withbirch bark that is sealed with an epoxy to hold up to wear with fresh water pearl & turquoise colored bead fringe at the base. Ear wires are sterling silver.
The studs are made from recycled silver scrap that I melted down, hammered, and rolled flat. They have natural texture from the melting process that I patina'd to give more character. They have a matte finish.
Each piece of birch bark used in these earrings is hand selected to highlight the uniqueness and natural beauty of each piece of bark. Color, striping and features vary from bark to bark and tree to tree. This is what makes these earrings so special, there will never be another one like it! They connect those who wear them to the wild beauty of Alaska.
